We want to introduce you to the newest members of our family!  These are all of the children that live in the safe house:  “Mamma Venus” the house mom is in the middle and her daughter (14 years old) is on the top left.  Next to her is Janet (14 years old) and in her lap is her little sister Julie (5 years old).  The two boys in the front are Sino (5 years old), on the left and Attie (7 years old) on the right.

We feel so lucky to be able to call these precious children family and to get to watch them grow and flourish in the house.  In the few short months that they have lived there, they have become such a wonderful, strong family unit and we feel so blessed to be a part of it.

2 years ago, we had the pleasure of meeting a sweet, sweet child named Farrai….at the time, he was an extremely shy 2 1/2 year old…he liked to keep to himself and he didn’t seem very happy to be at Ithemba.  Farrai was brought into South Africa to escape the hardships of life in Zimbabwe.  The once flourishing country is currently struggling to produce enough food to feed even a small number of the people there…his family escaped to Jeffrey’s Bay and as a result, at the age of 2, everything was new to Farrai….fast forward 2 years, Farrai has one of the biggest personalities at Ithemba…he has TONS of little friends and he LOVES to run around and laugh and play!  Today, we wanted to take the time to introduce you to our adorable friend…meet Farrai!
